An Allergy is a disorder of the immune system often also referred to as atopy. Allergies Relief - Natural Treatment Always Better

Many individuals of all ages and from different parts of the globe find themselves battling allergies during Spring and Fall. Getting relief from allergies may be as easy as taking a break and spending a day at the beach in the sun. While Mother Nature may be responsible for setting off the allergies with the changing of the seasons, she has a few really good natural and effective treatments for allergies relief.

Some people may see the changing seasons as a signal for making plans to change their wardrobe from the woolens to the light cottons and perhaps even make some vacation plans. But, for others, changing seasons mean dealing with excessive sneezing, a runny nose, wheezing, red watery eyes, and red itchy nose - all symptoms of seasonal allergies.

Statistics show that over 35 million Americans suffer from allergies caused by pollen from grass, flowers, trees that make their way into the air each year. What is more, these allergens as they are called, trigger off other more serious allergies, relief for which are not so easy to come by.

While many seek allergies relief from drug stores and buy their anti-allergen medication over the counter there may be some drawbacks. But going with the natural herbal allergies relief solutions assures one of no side effects and a longer lasting relief from whatever they are allergic to.

To begin with, when an allergic reaction strikes it is best to wash ones hands and face with some cool water. Use a lot of water and chances are that the attack will wear off just as soon as it comes on.

One indication of an oncoming attack is incessant sneezing. This may be accompanied by reddening of the eyes and/or the nose with perhaps some itching. When this happens it is best to wash the face with a lot of water – and one will find that most of the time, the attack will subside.

However, these are just the common allergies. The serious allergies are Asthma and hay fever. These need some very effective antihistamines to control the attack. The herb 'Butterbur' has been very effective in controlling these two allergic conditions as well as some others according to the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology (AAAAI).

However, the best allergies relief can only be ascertained by a medical practitioner. So, in the event of an allergic attack, make sure to consult one and if desired, ask for a natural allergies relief.
